A note from our Division Commissioner about joining lists.

I am aware that due to shortage of leaders, joining lists in some parts of Girlguiding Guildford are extremely long and your daughter has to wait longer that is desirable to join us.

Please do not be put off but be as flexible as you can be and be prepared to consider other units.

All units are run by qualified leaders or leaders in training and follow the same programme for their section. In other parts of Girlguiding Guildford joining lists are not quite so long. There are places available for Brownie and Guide age children currently but this may not be at your first or even second choice.

Regrettably we have a situation whereby demand far outweighs our ability to supply simply because of a lack of adult volunteers. All units are saturated and the only way out is for you to join too! Previous experience is not necessary, you will be trained “on the job” and will have a mentor to help and guide you through the training programme.
